PIONEER STEW | |
2 1/2 lbs. beef stew meat Onion Brown and simmer a while. 5-6 carrots 6 potatoes Above cut in chunks. 4 c. water 1 tsp. celery salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. salt 1 or 2 bay leaves 3 tbsp. minute tapioca 1 pkg. frozen peas - add just before serving If this is done in the crock pot, the tapioca can be added with vegetables and liquid, otherwise add 1/2 hour before serving. Allow 4 hours for crock pot - 2 1/2 to 3 for roaster. Serves 6-8. |
