CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE MIX 
9 c. flour
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
3 c. packed brown sugar, dark
3 c. granulated sugar
4 c. solid vegetable shortening
4 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine flour, soda, salt and sugars in a large bowl. Mix in shortening. Stir in chips. Store in airtight container. Lasts 6 months on shelf or 12 months in refrigerator.

To make cookies (2 dozen) : Mix 7 cups of cookie mixture, 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
