BACON - ONION FRENCH BREAD 
1 (1 lb.) loaf French bread
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
6 to 8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
1/2 c. butter

Slice bread in 1-inch slices almost through loaf. Combine soup mix, bacon, and butter. Melt and mix well. Spread on slices. Wrap loaf in foil and heat on grill or in oven.
