BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH GARLIC AND PARMESAN | |
1 lb. fresh Brussels sprouts 1/4 c. water 2 tbsp. (1/4 stick) butter 1 garlic clove, minced Salt and pepper 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese Discard any dry outside leaves from sprouts. Trim stems. Using small sharp knife, cut a shallow X in bottom of each stem. Combine sprouts and water in a shallow 1 quart baking dish. Cover and cook on high for 7 minutes in the microwave. Let rest covered for 3-4 minutes. Meanwhile, combine butter and garlic in small glass measuring cup and cook on high for 1-2 minutes. Drain water from sprouts. Add butter mixture, salt and pepper and toss lightly to coat. Add cheese and toss again. Serve hot. |
