ANYTIME JELLY 
1 qt. bottled or canned apple juice
5 drops red food coloring
1 pkg. powdered fruit pectin
5 1/2 c. sugar

Combine juice, food color and pectin in large saucepan; bring to full boil. Add sugar; stir until dissolved. Return to boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat; skim. Pour into hot jars and seal. NOTE: I have used the following red and green variations for my kindergartners' take home Christmas gifts. They made the jelly (with help) and cloth covers for jars.

Add 1/3 cup red cinnamon candies with sugar. (Makes Apple Cinnamon.)

Add 5 drops green food color to juice (omit red), tie 1 tablespoon whole cloves in bag; add to juice with pectin. Remove after cooking; add 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract after removed. Pour into jars and seal. (Makes Spiced Mint Apple.)

Use bottled grape juice in place of apple (omit color) for Grape Jelly.
