CHINESE SPICED CHICKEN | |
1 chicken; cut up 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. ginger 2 or 3 pieces of Star Anise Place ingredients in saucepan. Boil, stirring from time to time making sure the chicken is turned over in sauce. Boil until chicken is tender (water may be added if it starts to go dry). Remove star anise, thicken remaining sauce with cornstarch mixed with water. Serve sauce separate or over chicken. Serve with rice. |
