2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Cream together sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Mix together in a bowl the baking soda, flour and cocoa. Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately, blending well after each addition.

Bake in preheated 350°F oven approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
