LENTIL SOUP 
1 bag lentils
1 med. onion
2 or 3 ham slices, cut up
1 sm. can tomato paste
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder

Wash lentils in strainer and put in a large pot. Add sliced onion, ham and tomato paste. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serve with Italian bread or cornbread.
