GRANDADDY'S POUND CAKE 
3 c. plain flour
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
2 sticks butter

Beat sugar, butter and Crisco. Add eggs, then flour. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325.

The secret to a good pound cake is to beat the mixture a lot. Do not be afraid to beat the mixture a long time.
