CASHEW NUT BEEF CASSEROLE 
3 lg. onions, chopped
1/2 lb. butter
2 lbs. ground chuck
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 lg. can Pet milk
1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
1 can chow mein noodles
1 can cashew nuts
1 lb. narrow flat noodles

Cook flat noodles in salt water until tender, drain. Saute onion in butter. Add ground chuck and stir until beef is done. Heat soup and Pet milk until warm. Add to beef and onion mixture.

In 2 oblong baking dishes, place layer of cooked noodles, layer of meat and soup mixture, layer of grated cheese. Repeat each layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven. Sprinkle chow mein noodles and cashew nuts on top. Return to oven for 10 minutes to brown noodles and nuts. Serves 18-20. Makes 2 long baking dishes full.
