4 c. sliced peaches 2 c. cubed cantaloupe 5 c. sugar 1 sm. can crushed pineapple 1/2 c. drained, coarsely chopped maraschino cherries 3 tbsp. lemon juice 1 sm. orange, thinly sliced Mix everything together over medium heat until mixture begins to thicken and fruit becomes transparent. Skim all foam. Pour into large bowl and cover with clean cloth. Let fruit cool and let stand for 24 hours stirring occasionally. When clear and thick, pour into jars. |
