ONION BATTER ROLLS 
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/4 c. warm water
2 tbsp. soft shortening
1 to 2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 to 3 tbsp. instant minced onions
3 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add shortening, salt, sugar, onion and half of flour. Beat 2 minutes. Mix in rest of flour. Cover; let rise in warm place until double. Spoon batter into muffin pans. Fill half full. Let rise in warm place until it reaches 1/2 inch from top of pans. bake in moderate oven at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until brown. Brush with butter. Makes 9 to 12 rolls.
