FRESH BLACKBERRY COBBLER 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
4 c. fresh blackberries
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass). Blend 1/2 cup sugar and the cornstarch in medium saucepan. Stir in blackberries. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute.

Pour blackberry mixture into 2 quart baking dish (greased). Combine remaining ingredients and pour over blackberries. Bake for 45 minutes or until done. Top last 15 minutes with dots of butter and sprinkled sugar. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
