HARVARD BEETS 
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. butter
1 can sliced beets or SMALL whole beets

Pour liquid off beets into saucepan. Add sugar, salt, vinegar and cornstarch. Cook until thickened. Add beets, lower heat to simmer until beets are hot.
