COWBOY CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. butter
1 c. water
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Chopped nuts

In large bowl mix flour and sugar. In pan bring to boil cocoa, butter and water. Pour over flour and sugar. Add eggs, soda, buttermilk or sour milk and vanilla. Bake in 15"x10" jelly roll pan. (Mix cake well, but do not beat.) Grease and flour pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Make frosting before cake is done.

Bring first 3 frosting ingredients to boil in pan. Remove from heat. Add 1 pound powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat well. Spread on hot cake right out of oven. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
