CONGO CAKE 
1 box light brown sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
3 eggs
2 2/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 can black walnuts (1 c.)
1 tsp. vanilla

Put sugar in mixing bowl. Melt butter and pour over sugar. Add flour, baking powder, salt, walnuts, and flavoring and mix. Put in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool thoroughly.
