APPLE CRISP 
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. pared apples, sliced
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
3 tbsp. softened butter

Mix granulated sugar with 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon; sprinkle over apples and mix lightly. Spread apples in greased 8x8x2 baking pan. Sprinkle with water.

Blend flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. Mix in butter to make a crumbly mixture. Spread over apples. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until lightly browned and apples are tender.
