JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
6 lg. cooking apples
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. orange juice
4 eggs
Cinnamon to taste

Peel, core and slice apples; add sugar and cinnamon to taste, let stand. Sift flour, sugar and baking powder together, add vegetable oil and orange juice. Add eggs, beating 3 to 4 minutes until batter is smooth. Grease tube pan. Begin with a layer of batter, then apples, batter and ending with a layer of apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from pan when cool.
