BAKED CABBAGE 
3 c. cabbage, coarse cut
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. canned milk
1 c. celery, chopped
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper
Bread crumbs (fine)

Melt 3 tablespoons butter. Add celery and cook at low heat for 10 minutes. Add cabbage and water. Cook 10 minutes longer. Combine 2 tablespoons butter, flour and milk in small saucepan. Cook until thick. Combine vegetables and sauce. Place in buttered casserole. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 6.
