MANHATTAN SUPPER SOUP | |
1 lb. ground beef 2 c. (coarsely chopped) cabbage 1 lg. onion, diced 1 stalk celery, sliced 3 carrots, sliced 1 med. potato, cubed 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (No. 1) can tomatoes 1 (10 1/2 oz.) canned beef broth 2 soup cans water 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas or mixed vegetables Cook meat and drain well; add all ingredients in large pot, (except the peas) simmer for 50 minutes; add peas. Cook another 10 minutes. Very tasty! |
