CHEESEBURGER PIE | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck 1/3 c. chopped onion 1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs 1 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk 1 slightly beaten egg 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. stroganoff sauce mix 2 tbsp. catsup 1/4 tsp. paprika 9" unbaked pie shell 3 (3 3/4 oz.) slices process American cheese Brown ground chuck and onion in medium skillet. Drain off fat. Stir in bread crumbs. Combine evaporated milk, egg, stroganoff mix, catsup and paprika. Add to meat mixture and mix thoroughly. Spoon mixture into pie shell. Bake in hot oven, 425 degrees, for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut cheese slices into triangles, place on meat filling. Bake 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings. |
