EASY IRISH SODA BREAD 
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 c. raisins
1 tbsp. caraway seeds
1 1/3 c. buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients in large bowl. Add butter and cut in with pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse meal. Stir in raisins and caraway seeds. Add buttermilk, gradually and mix until well blended. Turn on floured board and knead for 1 minute. Cut dough in half. Shape each into a ball. Cut shallow crosses on each. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
