BANANA NUT BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter or shortening
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass pan). Cream butter, sugar and eggs in large bowl for 3 minutes. Add bananas and flour mixture (flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt). Beat until smooth 1 minute. Add nuts and mix. Bake about 1 hour in greased pan.
