MOMMA'S BEST BEANS 
1 lb. dried beans (I use navy)
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/4 lb. bacon, diced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 - 1 tsp. Tabasco pepper sauce

Place beans in a large saucepan, cover generously with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 1 hour or until tender. Saute onion and pepper in 2 tablespoons of oil in a small skillet until tender. Add beans with the remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring often. Add water if necessary during cooking.
