CORNBREAD DRESSING 
2 c. self-rising flour
2 c. self-rising meal (white)
1 c. oil (Crisco)
3 eggs
2 c. buttermilk

Bake this like cornbread.

FOR DRESSING:

Crumbled baked cornbread
6 eggs (well beaten)
2 c. chopped celery
1/2 to 1 c. chopped onion
Broth - chicken
Salt and pepper to taste
(Dots) butter

Crumble baked cornbread mixture in bowl. Add 6 eggs well beaten. Add about 2 cups chopped celery, 1/2 to 1 cup chopped onion, salt and pepper to taste, enough broth to be soupy.

If you have grits add them or oysters if you like or chestnuts.

Put in baking dishes (spray with Pam). Dot with butter and pepper. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until partially set.
