AN OLD FAMILY FAVORITE 
1 lg. can sauerkraut
1 med. head green cabbage
1 lb. egg noodles or if you're ambitious, homemade noodles
1 lg. diced onion
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 lb. bacon pieces, fried
1/4 lb. butter

Saute sauerkraut and onion (set aside).

Saute chopped cabbage, 1/4 pound butter; set aside.

Mix sauerkraut/cabbage together. Add salt and pepper to taste. Boil egg noodles until tender; drain well. Add cabbage and sauerkraut mixture. Mix in prefried bacon and toss. Serve hot as side dish. Watch this one - it causes gas!
