BROCCOLI CRUNCH SALAD 
1 lg. bunch broccoli
1/3 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. sunflower seeds
1/2 lb. bacon, fried & crumbled
1 c. raisins
1 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar

Cut broccoli in bite-size pieces, toss with onion, sunflower seeds, bacon and raisins. Stir together mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Pour this mixture over broccoli mixture and toss. Yield 6 servings.

This recipe was the HIT of my summer bbq! I did make slight changes to it, I blanched the broccoli and because it is summer, fresh grapes instead of the raisins. It is a perfect, refreshing, delicious side dish for the summer.

My family does not eat bacon so just eliminated that from the recipe. Found this way too sweet for our taste, would half the sugar next time. It closely replicated the recipe from the deli and from now on will make my own.
