5 c. tomato sauce 2 med. onions, chopped 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. basil 1/4 tsp. rosemary 1/4 tsp. thyme 1 bay leaf 1/8 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sugar Combine all ingredients in large pan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 1 hour. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate or freeze. Use with pasta or as a base for stew. If frozen, use plastic bags that are microwaveable. |
