1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecan meats

Cream shortenings and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour which has been sifted with salt and soda. Add nutmeats.

Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in 350 degree oven. Yield 6 dozen cookies.
