LAZY DAY CABBAGE MEAT CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. ground meat (1 1/2 lbs. beef & 1/2 pork or sausage)
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 pkg. onion soup mix
2 lbs. cabbage
2 cans tomato soup
1 sm. can tomato sauce
2 cans water
1 c. rice

Brown meat and onion. Add soup mix, tomato soup, tomato sauce, rice and cans of water. Chop 1/2 head cabbage.

Grease a 9"x13" baking pan. Layer bottom of pan with the 1/2 head chopped cabbage. Add meat mixture. Chop the other 1/2 head cabbage and layer it on top of meat mixture. Dot with butter, cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees in oven for 90 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.
