ORANGE DESSERT CAKE 
1 c. sour milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten light
1/4 tsp. salt
1 orange med. size
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in the milk
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins or pecans (both good)

Squeeze juice from the orange choosing a well ripened one with tender peel. Mix with juice, 1/2 cup sugar and let stand. Cut central core out of orange and grind with raisins and pecans. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and flour and other ingredients. Bake about 40 minutes at 350 degrees. After cake is done, put sugar and orange juice over cake.
