YEAST BREAD (NO KNEAD) | |
2 3/4 c. warm water 2 packs dry yeast 6 1/2 c. flour 3 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. shortening Pour water into large bowl. Add yeast and stir until dissolved. Add half of flour, sugar, salt and shortening. Beat 2 minutes. Add rest of flour and beat until smooth. Cover and let rise until double, about 45 minutes. Stir dough and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise to top of pans. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. |
