MOM'S CROCK-POT SWISS STEAK | |
4 round steaks (medium sized) 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup 1 (10 oz.) can cream of what ever kind of soup you like 1/2 can water (use empty soup can) salt and pepper, to taste potatoes carrots celery onions Note: My mom either does cream of chicken or cream of celery soup. I use cream of chicken or mushroom soup. We add enough vegetables to feed four people. Place thawed round steak in a skillet and brown both sides. Add oil if you need to. While steak is browning, mix the soups and water in you Crock-Pot and turn on HIGH. Cut up potatoes, carrots, celery, and onion and mix with the soups. Season with salt and pepper. Place round steak in Crock-Pot and cover it with the soup mixture. Put the cover on the Crock-Pot and let cook on HIGH for an hour or two. Then turn down to LOW and cook for six to seven hours. Best when cooked slow all day. Then enjoy!!!! Serves 4. Submitted by: Sam Dockter |
