STRAWBERRY PIE | |
1 (9 inch) baked pie shell 3 lbs. strawberries, rinsed and stems removed 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. water 1 env. unflavored gelatin Place 3 cups strawberries and the sugar in a food processor or blender. Process until smooth. Pour into a saucepan and add water. Bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add gelatin and beat with a wire whisk until gelatin dissolves. Set aside to cool. Clip green tips from remaining strawberries. Cut in half lengthwise and arrange in pie shell. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Pour strawberry sauce over the top of the pie. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. May be served with whipped cream. |
