“BUTTERMILK PRALINES” IS IN:

BUTTERMILK PRALINES 
3 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp, salt
1 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup dark corn syrup (Karo)
2 tbsp. butter
2 cups nuts

Combine all ingredients except nuts. Cook to soft ball stage (234-240°F on candy thermometer).

Add nuts and beat until mixture loses its gloss. Drop onto waxed paper. Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.

Makes 3 dozen.
