APPLE CRISP DELIGHT 
6 - 8 apples, sliced
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Place apples in 2 quart dish. Blend together butter, sugar, flour and cinnamon; work until crumbly. Pack over apples. If apples seem dry, add a little water or orange or apple juice. Bake 45 to 60 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve warm with Lemon Sauce (optional) below.

LEMON SAUCE:

Lemon rind
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. butter

Pare lemon; steep rind in boiling water 5 minutes. Mix sugar, butter, cornstarch and rind - water mixture. Cook 15 minutes then add lemon juice and butter.
