APPLE CUSTARD DELIGHT | |
2 c. flour 2 sticks butter (1 c.) 3 tbsp. sugar 8 med. apples 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. sugar 3 sm. pkgs. vanilla pudding 5 c. milk 2 pkgs. Dream Whip or 1 lg. container Cool Whip Walnuts Mix flour, butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar together as for crust and pat into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Let it work up the sides a bit. Peel and slice apples; mix together with cinnamon and 1 cup sugar; arrange evenly over the crust. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. Then cover with foil and return to oven for another 15 minutes. While apples are baking, cook vanilla pudding with milk until thick. Pour this over the apples when they are done. Cover with wax paper. When well cooled, refrigerate. Before serving, cover the entire surface with the Dream Whip or with the Cool Whip. Garnish with the walnuts. |
