FETTUCCINE, AMERICAN STYLE 
1 lb. fettuccine
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. hot milk
2 c. steamed mixed vegetables
1/2 c. grated cheese
1/4 c. vegetable oil
Salt and pepper

Cook the fettuccine for 6 minutes and drain well. Place in a warm bowl and add the butter and cheese. Toss well to coat the noodles. Add hot milk and oil and toss again, until well mixed and a creamy sauce is formed. Add hot vegetables that have been steamed until just crisp-tender. Stir into noodles and season to taste. Serves 4-6.
