BLARNEY STONES 
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
6 tbsp. boiling water
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites until stiff, adding sugar gradually. In a separate bowl, beat yolks well, add water, flour, baking powder which has been sifted 3 times.

Add vanilla; gently fold in egg whites and mix completely (by hand).

Pour onto a greased and floured cookie sheet and bake at 375°F until golden and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.

Cut into strips.

Cover all sides except bottom with hard sauce (below). Roll in ground unsweetened peanuts.

Hard Sauce:

Cream butter, add powdered sugar, gradually add a little cream if necessary and vanilla.
