LADY BALTIMORE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. Swans Down cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
4 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter with vanilla; add sugar gradually and beat well; sift flour, salt, and baking powder. Add alternately with milk. Beat egg whites until stiff, fold in batter until no egg can be seen. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Let stand in pan 3 minutes.
