ONION AND CHEESE CHICKEN BAKE
(MICROWAVE)
 
6 whole boned chicken breasts
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper (or less to taste)
1/2 lb. fresh mushroom, sliced
1 can French fried onion rings (2.8 oz.)
1/2 c. grated Jack or Swiss cheese

Melt butter in 3 quart glass baking dish (7 power for 1 minute). Add seasonings and mix. Roll chicken in seasoned butter to coat and arrange in the dish. Cover with waxed paper and cook at 7 power for 4 minutes. Sprinkle onion rings and grated cheese over chicken. Cook on full power 2 to 3 minutes. Serves 6.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
