ATOMIC CHILI 
6 cloves minced garlic
2 tbsp. olive oil
4 lg. lean ground beef (best if you use minced steak)
1 sm. "hot" red pepper
6 med. chopped onions
6 (1 lb.) cans whole drained tomatoes
4 (1 lb.) cans red kidney beans
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
4 finely chopped green peppers
1/4 c. hot chili powder
1 tsp. white vinegar
3 dashes red pepper
8 whole cloves
3 whole bay leaves
Salt & pepper to taste

Saute hot pepper in oil until dark brown and discard. Add garlic to oil and saute until golden brown. In 8 quart kettle, brown beef evenly. Drain excess fat from kettle. Add garlic and oil to meat.

Saute onions and green peppers until tender and add to meat. Add remaining ingredients to meat and cook over low heat covered for 1 hour. If too dry add tomatoes. If too liquid uncover and simmer longer.
