Saute 4 good size onions, chopped; add 1 pound ground round and stir until brown. Add 1 large can tomatoes, chopped; season with salt and pepper to taste, plus 1 tablespoon chili powder. Simmer until thick.

Cook one making of corn meal mush. In casserole dish line bottom with layer of mush; add meat mixture on top of mush. Add thin layer of mush on top. Bake at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes or until brown on top. Mushrooms can be added to meat mixture.
