TAMALE PIE 
1 c. cornmeal
2 med. eggs
1 c. milk
18 green olives, chopped
Olive slices for garnish

FILLING:

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 lg. onion, sliced
1/8 tsp. minced garlic
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes with juice
1 (12 oz.) can whole corn (drained)
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Prepare cornmeal crust by mixing cornmeal, eggs, milk and chopped olives. Spread over hot mixture. Decorate top with few olive slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve hot. Yields 4 to 6 servings.

Cook meats with onions, garlic until browned. Stir in tomatoes with juice, corn and seasoning. Simmer 10 minutes. Pour into greased oblong baking dish. Top with crust, garnish and bake as directed.
