EIGHT LAYER CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. hamburger 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 tsp. dried basil, crushed 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. sour cream 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. milk 2 tbsp. chopped onion 6 oz. noodles, cooked and drained 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese In a large skillet; cook hamburger until brown. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, basil, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Combine sour cream, cream cheese, milk, and onion. In a greased 2 quart casserole or an 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Layer 1/2 noodles, 1/2 meat mixture, 1/2 cream cheese mixture, and all the spinach. Top with the remaining meat mixture and noodles. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Spread with cream cheese mixture and top with Cheddar cheese. Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes more. |
