SPICED FRUIT 
1 med. orange
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple chunks, undrained
2 (16 oz.) cans unsweetened pear halves, drained
1 (16 oz.) can unsweetened apricot halves, drained
2 (2 inch) sticks cinnamon
6 whole cloves

Peel orange, reserving rind. Section orange, and remove seeds. Drain pineapple, reserving juice.

Combine orange sections, pineapple chunks, pear halves, and apricot halves in a large bowl; set aside.

Combine orange rind, pineapple juice, cinnamon and cloves in a small saucepan, stirring well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Strain mixture, discarding rind and whole spices. Pour juice over fruit, tossing gently to combine. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled. Yield: 8 servings.

Each serving: 3/4 cup. Exchanges: 1 fruit. 60 calories. 15 gm. carbohydrates, trace of protein, trace of fat, 1 gm. fiber, 3 mg. sodium, 0 mg. cholesterol.
