PORTABELLA MUSHROOM APPETIZER | |
2-3 large Portobella Mushrooms sliced in 1/4 strips 1 stick butter 1-2 tbsp. minced garlic bacon bits (real bacon) fine grated mozzarella cheese chopped onion (optional) Melt butter in a large skillet on medium heat. Add garlic and onion, if desired. Let cook down but don't let the garlic turn brown. Add sliced mushrooms and bacon bits (bacon bits to taste). Cook mushrooms until they are soft but not too soggy. Remove mushrooms and put on a plate. Sprinkle mozzarella over top and serve. I've also cooked this with a little white wine which gave it a more exotic flavor. Submitted by: Jeff Q. |
