MARINATED WATER CHESTNUTS | |
1/2 tsp. ginger 1/2 c. soy sauce 1 can whole water chestnuts 1 lb. bacon Sugar (in a sm. bowl) Toothpicks Combine ginger, soy sauce and water chestnuts in a bowl. Make sure chestnuts are covered in the mixture. Refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours to marinate properly. Cut bacon into 4 sections. Wrap chestnuts with bacon. Put a toothpick in them to hold the bacon on and roll in sugar. Place the chestnuts on a plate with paper towel on it and microwave them until the bacon is just turning crisp. (If chestnuts are large cut them in half.) |
