3/4 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix all together and drop from a teaspoon into hot grease. Fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Shake in bag with confectioners' sugar.
