Am going to try this version of ribs in my crock pot - then try the version Dale Scott - created. Both sound great. Love other's changes and additions. Gives many options. Can see these with sides of coleslaw & corn on cob. Yum!

We loved this recipe! Beef ribs are hard to find around here, so I ended up using boneless pork chops instead, and they turned out beautifully. (Was supposed to be enough for two dinners, but alas, we devoured them all!) I made the marinade, then cooked the chops in the crockpot. (Was too hot to turn on the oven.) After several hours, I removed the liquid with a baster, then added the BBQ sauce (Sweet baby Ray's Hickory & Brown Sugar) and cooked them a few hours longer. They came out tender and delicious, and the liquid smoke really gave them that "country-style" flavor. The only thing I did different was, I sprinkled a little shredded Colby Jack cheese atop each chop during the last hour of cooking time, then allowed it to melt and spread on a little more BBQ sauce and cooked them a while longer. I'll definitely be making this recipe on a regular basis, and will likely use baby back ribs next time. I would LOVE to try it on beef ribs, though, and so, will keep looking for those as well! (Am considering using a chuck roast if they still aren't available. Lol) Thank you so much for sharing!!
